Kakao Entertainment teams up with Sandoll to launch webtoon-based mobile font

KakaoWebtoon, Kakao Entertainment’s webtoon platform, says it has launched a new mobile font in collaboration with content creator platform company Sandoll. The font is based on the character webtoon “Dust Clump Jjangleok” and includes features such as hidden character illustrations and colour font technology. It is available for iPhone users via the Bakee app and can be used in KakaoTalk and document apps.

Sandoll, BGF Retail to expand cooperation on Hangul commerce use

Content creator platform company Sandoll said it signed an MOU with BGF Retail to strengthen Hangul design competitiveness across CU convenience store spaces and products. The deal aims to expand Hangul as cultural content and a design asset and combine it with retail and consumption environments. Sandoll will develop a CU font for use across stores, packaging and promotions, while BGF Retail plans related merchandise. They will also launch a lettering contest for Hangul Day in 2026.
