South Korea\'s Financial Supervisory Service is investigating allegations that some fund managers at Samsung Active Asset Management bought shares in advance of their inclusion in exchange-traded funds to seek improper profits. The watchdog is examining whether they identified stocks set for active ETF portfolios, bought them through nominee accounts and later sold for gains. The case emerged while authorities reviewed a prior information leak tied to the KoAct Kosdaq Active ETF listing.

Samsung Active Asset Management lists KoAct Kosdaq Active ETF
Samsung Active Asset Management said on March 10 it has newly listed the KoAct Kosdaq Active ETF. It classifies the Kosdaq market into seven core growth drivers: bio, aerospace and defense, semiconductor materials, parts and equipment, robots, ESS and energy, AI software, and media, entertainment and consumer goods. The ETF plans to allocate 70 to 80 percent to high-growth stocks and 20 to 30 percent to undervalued value stocks.
