Shinhan Bank expands youth AI and digital education, signs deal with Yonsei University and others
Shinhan Bank provided training for 80 middle school students on planning and producing video content using artificial intelligence, with participants creating one-minute public campaign videos on environmental and social issues and presenting them in a hackathon. The bank said it concluded the fifth Shinhan AI Creator Camp, held from July 30 to Aug. 1 at Yonsei University’s Sinchon campus. It also signed a four-way agreement with Yonsei University and three partners to expand AI and digital education and research programmes.

Shinhan Bank volunteers with Marine Corps 2nd Division to support national merit recipients
Shinhan Bank said on March 24 it carried out a volunteer program with the Republic of Korea Marine Corps 2nd Division to assemble daily necessities kits for low-income national merit recipients and war veterans. The activity took place at the division in Gimpo, involving 20 bank executives and officials from the Marines and the Salvation Army. The bank also provided financial education to service members and delivered comfort gifts.

NH NongHyup Bank donates 300 million won worth of Happy Kimchi to Salvation Army Seoul welfare home
NH NongHyup Bank said it delivered domestically produced kimchi worth 300 million won to the Salvation Army’s Seoul Welfare Home in Seodaemun, Seoul, to support the healthy growth of resident children and teenagers. The event was attended by Kang Tae-young (강태영), Kim Dong-a (김동아) and Salvation Army commander Kim Byung-yoon (김병윤), along with other bank executives. It forms part of a group-wide New Year charity relay through the Lunar New Year holiday.
