NH NongHyup Bank said on Jan. 23 it delivered domestically produced kimchi at the Salvation Army’s Seoul Welfare Home in Seodaemun, Seoul, to support the healthy growth of children and teenagers living at the facility.

Those attending included NH NongHyup Bank CEO Kang Tae-young (강태영), lawmaker Kim Dong-a (김동아) of Seodaemun-gap, Salvation Army commander Kim Byung-yoon (김병윤), NH NongHyup Bank senior executive vice president Lim Se-bin (임세빈) and Seoul regional head Byun Sung-hwan (변성환). They also joined meal-service volunteering.

The event is part of the "Pan-NongHyup New Year Warm Companionship and Happy Sharing" relay. Pan-NongHyup affiliates plan to act together and continue various social contribution activities for vulnerable groups through the Lunar New Year holiday.

"I hope this sharing becomes warm comfort for the children and gives them strength to grow up without losing their bright smiles," Kang said. "Going forward, NongHyup Bank will continue to carry out various social contribution activities with the spirit of united cooperation for marginalized neighbors and farmers," he said.

"There are still many neighbors in Seodaemun who need a warm helping hand, so I hope we can create many meaningful occasions together with NongHyup Bank," Kim said. "I will also cooperate in the Nongsim Cheonsim movement to enhance NongHyup’s values," he said.
