Google overhauls NotebookLM, strengthens research with Gemini 3.5
Google has rolled out a major update to its AI note-taking and research tool NotebookLM, adopting its latest Gemini 3.5 model to improve response accuracy and reliability. The update changes how users begin research, allowing them to start by asking a question without first uploading materials. NotebookLM now searches for sources using Google Search, recommends web resources, runs code via Google’s Antigravity platform and supports wider export formats.

Tech Insight: Stop using Markdown, move to HTML - why?
Thariq Shihipar, who works on Claude Code at Anthropic, has posted an argument that AI agent outputs should shift from Markdown to HTML. He said long Markdown files are hard to read, weak for visual expression and inconvenient to share, while direct editing is increasingly delegated to Claude. He listed four HTML strengths: higher information density, better readability, easier sharing via links, and two-way interaction using controls such as sliders and buttons.

Apple unveils Safari 26.4 update with 44 new features and 191 bug fixes
Apple has released Safari 26.4, an update aimed at improving browser performance and the development environment. The update includes 44 new WebKit features, 191 bug fixes and removes one outdated function. Apple said its web developer experience team’s Jen Simmons (젠 시몬스) detailed the main changes on the company’s official blog. Key additions include CSS Grid Lanes, WebTransport support and a new Keyboard Lock API.
