Shinhan Financial holds \'SOL Bangul Forest\' volunteer drive to support ecosystem restoration in wildfire-hit areas

Shinhan Financial Group held an environmental volunteer activity with about 80 employees and their families. Participants recycled flowerpots collected in September and worked on cultivating an ecological forest to experience the importance of resource circulation and forest restoration. The group carried out the “Shinhan SOL Bangul Forest” activity at a smart farm in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province. Completed pots will be delivered to local children’s centers in Andong, North Gyeongsang Province.

Shinhan Financial holds volunteer effort to restore wildfire-hit area in Andong

Shinhan Financial Group held a forest-tending volunteer activity in Andong, North Gyeongsang Province, in an area damaged by wildfires. The group said employees volunteered on May 30 at Shinhan SOL Bangul Forest in Yonggak-ri, Iljik-myeon, Andong. The forest is part of a project to restore the wildfire-hit area. Shinhan plans to plant about 20,000 trees there by 2028 in line with the government’s nationwide tree-planting policy.
