Post Office Insurance revamps two flagship products, lowers entry barriers and expands coverage
Korea’s postal services agency will launch two revamped Post Office Insurance flagship products, lowering entry barriers for people with pre-existing illnesses and strengthening child-focused coverage. The two products, a health insurance plan and a children’s insurance plan, are set to go on sale on Sept. 16. Changes include a simplified enrollment option, expanded hospitalisation benefits from the first day, and new riders covering common and child-specific conditions. An enrollment event will run through Oct. 31.

Korea Post launches sign-up event for post office direct insurance
Korea Post on Aug. 3 said it will run a customer appreciation event through Sept. 30 for customers who sign up for post office direct insurance. Eligible customers are those who join designated products via the post office insurance website or the \'Itda Insurance\' app. Customers can receive up to 30,000 won in Naver Pay points if they meet conditions including paying three installments and keeping the contract in good standing.

Korea post office supported 262,000 people through public interest programmes last year
Korea’s postal service said it supported about 262,000 people in 2025 through 14 public interest programmes and public insurance. It expanded welfare registered mail and regular visits to elderly and isolated households, and provided free caregiving for unaccompanied patients. It also offered monthly food support for young adults preparing for independence, scholarships and mentoring, and ran a reusable cup system. It plans to spend 13.2 billion won this year.
