China open source framework Uni-App misused by more than 200,000 investment scam sites
More than 200,000 websites are using investment scam templates built with the Chinese open source framework Uni-App, SecurityWeek reported on June 27, citing cybersecurity company Infoblox. Uni-App is a cross-platform development tool that can build mobile and desktop apps and mobile-optimised websites from a single codebase and is widely used in China. Infoblox said there is no sign the developer, DCloud, was involved.
