Shiba Inu use cases expand as Emirates adds crypto payments
Emirates has introduced cryptocurrency payments on its ticket booking platform, expanding real-world use cases for Shiba Inu (SHIB). The airline has begun supporting ticket payments via Crypto.com Pay on its website and mobile app. The option supports 30 cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin and ether, and is limited to eligible customers residing in the United Arab Emirates who have Crypto.com accounts. The payment method applies to bookings priced and settled in UAE dirhams.

Shiba Inu developers say experiment continues ahead of 6th anniversary relaunch push
Shiba Inu (SHIB) developers reiterated their commitment to the project ahead of the token’s sixth anniversary, saying the “experiment continues” during a recent price surge. SHIB has shown relatively strong momentum among the top 30 tokens, but is down 5.59 percent over the past week and remains about 95 percent below its all-time high set in October 2021. The token launched on Ethereum in August 2020.

The number of Shiba Inu wallets holding SHIB has climbed above 1.67 million, but a dispute has erupted over whether the recent increase reflects genuine user growth. A community member said verified smart contracts tied to WoofSwap create new Ethereum addresses and send small amounts of SHIB, which tracking sites count as holder wallets. WoofSwap rejected the claim, calling it a light experiment for the community.
