Rivian CEO says next-generation R3 EV will be meaningfully cheaper than R2
Rivian\'s next-generation R3 electric vehicle is expected to launch at a significantly lower price than the R2, its CEO RJ Scaringe said in recent interviews. He said the R3 would be priced meaningfully below the R2, without disclosing figures, and added that a follow-on R4 would be cheaper still. Rivian currently sells the R2 near $60,000, and plans a $45,000 standard trim by late 2027.
