Postal Service Agency urges caution over phishing emails posing as post office

It said emails sent under names such as the \"Korea Postal Service Agency Delivery Management Team\" direct recipients to an external phishing site designed to look official and attempt to steal personal data and induce payments. The agency said post offices do not request address changes or payments by email.

Post office offers 50 percent cashback for switching Toss Prime payment account
The Ministry of Science and ICT’s Postal Service Agency said on March 5 it will run an event for customers using the paid Toss Prime membership. Customers who change their recurring payment account to the post office in the Toss app and complete payment during the event period will receive cashback worth 50 percent of the monthly subscription fee for 2 months. The agency head said it will continue services through collaboration with external digital platforms.

Korea post office supported 262,000 people through public interest programmes last year
Korea’s postal service said it supported about 262,000 people in 2025 through 14 public interest programmes and public insurance. It expanded welfare registered mail and regular visits to elderly and isolated households, and provided free caregiving for unaccompanied patients. It also offered monthly food support for young adults preparing for independence, scholarships and mentoring, and ran a reusable cup system. It plans to spend 13.2 billion won this year.
