Spotify moves to expand enterprise software business beyond music streaming

Spotify is moving to expand its enterprise software business aimed at external customers, selling technologies it built for internal use. TechCrunch reported the company has opened a website for enterprise and developer technology. Spotify plans to offer solutions developed for its platform as open-source and paid services. It has already released Backstage as open source and has sold Confidence, Portal and an AI coding agent management tool.

Xenon files Kosdaq IPO registration statement, seeks up to 26.8 billion won

Generative AI solutions company Xenon said on Oct. 8 it filed a securities registration statement with South Korea\'s Financial Services Commission and began procedures for a Kosdaq listing. The company plans to offer 2.2 million shares at a proposed price of 9,700 to 12,200 won each, raising 21.34 billion to 26.84 billion won. Institutional bookbuilding runs Oct. 26-30, with retail subscriptions Nov. 4-5. Samsung Securities is lead manager.

Sony certifications spotted for 2 unannounced PlayStation devices, raising possibility of new PlayStation Portal model

Two unannounced Sony PlayStation devices have been spotted in wireless certification documents, prompting speculation about a successor to the PlayStation Portal streaming handheld. The products, listed by the Wi-Fi Alliance as game console and peripherals, carry model numbers CFI-Y2000 and CFI-Y2105. The filings say they run Android 15. They support 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz 1x1 Wi-Fi, with no sign of 6 GHz support. Sony has made no official announcement.
