Woori Bank leak of 17,551 personal data records during NFT platform outsourcing

Woori Bank confirmed that 17,551 customer personal data records were leaked from an external developer that worked on its NFT platform project. The bank notified customers by text message and said the leak occurred after staff at the developer mistakenly exposed data the company had stored on its own. The leaked information included user nicknames and linked identification information (CI). Woori Bank said it blocked access after learning of the leak on June 30 and has advised customers to be cautious of suspicious calls and links.
