Shinsegae to invest $1 billion in Warner Bros acquisition
Shinsegae Property will invest $1 billion in the acquisition of Warner Bros, the company said on Monday, joining as an investor in a deal being pursued by Paramount. Shinsegae Group said it aims to use Hollywood content as a new growth engine and expand its portfolio into global content. It also plans to use intellectual property at offline sites, explore cooperation with HBO Max and Paramount Plus, and pursue joint content production over the long term.
