JobKorea overhauls role-based open chatrooms to boost community services

AI and data-based HR tech platform JobKorea, operated by Worksphere, said on Thursday it has revamped its role-based open chatrooms and will strengthen its community services. The company aims to expand touchpoints with job seekers beyond a job-posting-centred service and enhance practical career information. The renewed KakaoTalk-based chatrooms cover key roles and offer real-time communication, daily news, popular listings, hiring trends and conference information. The company also plans to expand online-to-offline networking.

Alibaba shifts strategy to AI agents, steps up commerce and logistics integration

Alibaba is reshaping its AI strategy around AI agents, Reuters reported on Tuesday. The company has decided to separate its AI business from its cloud unit and launched the Alibaba Token Hub group led by CEO Eddie Wu. Its Qwen chatbot now enables purchases via a chat interface alongside a 3 billion yuan coupon campaign. Former employee and author Brian Wong and analysts highlighted Alibaba’s broad ecosystem and integrated logistics, as well as its new enterprise AI platform Wukong.

Hong Kong finance chief pushes licensing for digital asset trading, custody

Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po said, in the 2026 budget, that the government will submit a bill this year to introduce a licensing regime for digital asset trading and custody service providers. Hong Kong is already running a licensing system for issuers of fiat-referenced stablecoins, with the first licence expected in March. The government and financial authorities plan to keep supporting authorised issuers within compliance and risk management. Chan said the SFC will strengthen investor protection and boost market liquidity.
