[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang (황치규)] AI and data-based HR tech platform JobKorea, operated by Worksphere, said on Thursday it has revamped its role-based open chatrooms and will strengthen its community services. It is a strategy to expand touchpoints with job seekers beyond a job-posting-centred service and enhance functions that provide practical career information.
According to the company, the renewed open chatrooms are KakaoTalk-based real-time communication spaces run by major roles such as development, PM/PO, design and marketing. Users can share career direction and role-related concerns. It also provides role-based daily news, popular postings, hiring trends and conference information.
JobKorea plans to use this to support job seekers so they can go beyond simply browsing postings, share role-based information and experience, and actively design their careers.
It is also expanding a community that links online and offline activities. Last month, it held a small offline PM/PO gathering centred on open chatroom participants to share various topics such as role transitions, career growth and the use of AI. It plans to continue running networking programmes to expand exchanges among users by role.
A JobKorea official said, "Job seekers want connections, experience and data-based insights rather than fragmentary job-posting information." The official added, "We will strengthen community functions around the open chatrooms and advance them into an information-provision platform."
