South Korea\'s National Intelligence Service conducted on-site cybersecurity inspections of 152 central ministries, metropolitan governments and public agencies and disclosed the results through its 2025 cybersecurity assessment. The number of public agencies rated “excellent” rose to 32, up from 29 in 2024. No metropolitan governments received an excellent rating, and central ministries fell to zero. Six bodies were rated “poor”, including several ministries and local governments. The NIS said it will closely check disaster recovery and access controls in its 2026 review.
