Cadence unveils agentic AI \'Orastack\' to support PCB design

Cadence Design Systems has unveiled Orastack, an agentic AI system designed to support printed circuit board design and testing for electrical engineers. The Register reported the tool supports PCB and advanced packaging design and test work that has relied on high-precision simulation. Cadence said it is not replacing existing tools with AI models that can hallucinate. Orastack is built to orchestrate Cadence test and simulation suites via a natural-language interface.

Oracle adds agentic app development environment to AI Agent Studio

Oracle said on Wednesday it has added a new AI-native builder environment to its AI Agent Studio, enabling customers to develop and operate AI agentic apps within its Fusion Applications enterprise suite. The new environment integrates no-code, low-code and pro-code development in a single Fusion-native framework. It supports natural-language app building, developer tools including Visual Studio Code and CLI, and AI coding tools such as OpenAI Codex and Anthropic Claude Code.

GitHub Copilot usage surges after shift to pay-as-you-go, June results hit record high

GitHub has posted its highest-ever June performance for its AI coding tool Copilot after switching its billing system to a usage-based model, the report said. GitHub CTO Vladimir Fedorov (블라디미르 페도로프) said June was the best month on record but did not disclose figures. GitHub introduced pay-as-you-go billing from June 1. Competition has intensified from Cursor, OpenAI Codex and Anthropic Claude Code, while rising usage has also increased infrastructure strain.
