AI raises hopes and fears in security as risks grow

Fasoo AI expands Fasoo DSPM support to include OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook and Slack
Fasoo AI said on July 28 it will expand support in its multicloud data security posture management solution, Fasoo DSPM, for cloud storage and SaaS applications. The update adds support for Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint, enabling identification of personal and sensitive information and risk grading for administrators, and supports automatic conversion to Microsoft Information Protection. It also adds monitoring for externally shared OneDrive files and support for Outlook and Slack to detect sensitive information and check risk factors.

Microsoft adds finance skills, plans and external data links to Excel Copilot
Microsoft added three features for financial professionals to Excel Copilot: skills, plans and external data integration. Skills let users define processes Copilot will perform in Excel, while plans show a task list before Copilot changes spreadsheet data and allow users to approve or revise actions. After completion, change links appear in chat and AI edits are displayed with human edits. Copilot can also pull in external data from third-party platforms.
