Fasoo AI said on July 28 it will expand cloud storage and SaaS application support for its multicloud data security posture management solution, Fasoo DSPM.

The update focuses on supporting major apps widely used by most companies, enabling integrated management of data dispersed across different work environments and helping protect sensitive data.

With Microsoft cloud storage OneDrive and file-sharing platform SharePoint, Fasoo DSPM can identify personal and sensitive information, assess risk grades and provide them to administrators. It also supports automatic conversion to Microsoft’s document protection method, MIP, to protect data more efficiently.

For managing confidential data, administrators can check the status of OneDrive files shared externally via anonymous links. It provides lineage for duplicate files in SharePoint to enable tracking of history, and can distinguish data set to be shared with everyone to check whether any files are being managed inappropriately. Fasoo DSPM also enables detection of sensitive information and review of risk factors in the email service Outlook and the external collaboration platform Slack.

Fasoo DSPM identifies sensitive data scattered across multi- and hybrid-cloud environments and manages it by specifying detailed attributes such as location, grade and access permissions. It automatically detects and classifies data dispersed across cloud environments, including hard-to-manage dark and shadow data, and visualises the security status.

He said Fasoo DSPM, which is expanding support across diverse work environments, provides response capabilities to increasingly stringent domestic and international personal data protection regulations and cyber threats.
