DB Financial Investment joins Ethereum Korea One as title sponsor
DB Financial Investment will take part as title sponsor of the Ethereum conference \"Ethereum Korea One: Genesis\" to be held in Seoul in September. The event will discuss the status of token securities business initiatives by domestic and overseas financial institutions ahead of the institutionalisation of token securities in South Korea, and ways to use Ethereum-based on-chain infrastructure. The Ethereum Korea Consortium said the conference will run on Sept. 28 to 29.

Ethereum \'Glamsterdam\' upgrade nears, with active talks on follow-on \'Hegota\'
Ethereum\'s next major upgrade, dubbed \"Glamsterdam\" and due in the second half of the year, is moving through testnets, Protocol Watch founder Kristin Kim said. Developers launched the final dev testnet, Devnet-8, on Aug. 13 and designed it for open participation, with public testnet upgrades set to start in September. Developers also discussed raising the gas limit and tightening rolling history expiry. Submissions for the next upgrade, \"Hegota\", have closed, with priorities being set amid sharp community disagreement over two proposals.

AFX Protocol estimates $24.15 million loss from bridge attack
Arbitrum-based decentralized perpetual futures exchange AFX Protocol is estimated to have lost assets worth $24.15 million in a cross-chain bridge attack. Cointelegraph reported the incident occurred in a third-party protocol and did not affect the Arbitrum native bridge. Security firm Blockaid said it detected an attack targeting an AFX-operated bridge. Offchain Labs co-founder Steven Goldfeder also confirmed a third-party protocol was affected. The cause and any additional losses remain unconfirmed.
