Konan Technology to hold defense AI summit in November, unveil intelligence analysis platform for first time
Konan Technology said it will hold the 5th Defense AI Summit on Nov. 13 at the Ninetree ROKAUS in Yongsan, Seoul. The event, themed “Opening global future new security,” will focus on a defense intelligence analysis platform and on-device AI technology. The company will unveil its Konan ARGOS platform for the first time. SK Telecom and Korea Aerospace Industries will also take part with presentations on defense AI and related topics.

China suspected of building dedicated mothership for large unmanned underwater vehicle, hull spotted in Shanghai
Signs have emerged that China is building a dedicated surface mothership capable of launching and recovering a large unmanned underwater vehicle directly at sea. An unidentified hull with a different shape from existing Chinese naval ships was spotted at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding’s dock in Shanghai, with no official confirmation from Beijing. Open-source analysts estimate the vessel is about 200 metres long and could support long-duration operations and wider operating range for large unmanned underwater vehicles.

Ridi named official partner in Google\'s Trusted Copyright Removal Program
Ridi said on Tuesday it has been selected as an official partner in Google’s global intellectual property protection program, the Trusted Copyright Removal Program (TCRP). The program grants partner status after reviewing performance and operating systems in responding to illegal content distribution. Ridi said its AI-based monitoring boosted monthly monitored works and daily reports, with an average blocking rate near 90 percent. It has removed 113 million illegal items and estimated prevented damage at about 1 trillion won.
