Hana Bank says data of 89 customers leaked in hacking incident; financial transaction data excluded
Hana Bank has suffered a customer data leak caused by an external hacking incident, following similar cases at Shinhan Bank and KB Kookmin Bank. The bank said abnormal access targeting its sales support system (ODS) led to the exposure of personal information of 89 customers. The leaked data included resident registration numbers, names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers. Hana Bank said the system is separate from financial transaction channels, so transaction data were not involved.
