Naver Pay, Kakao Pay begin applications for second-round high oil price relief funds
Naver Pay and Kakao Pay have started accepting applications for the second round of high oil price relief funds. The programme targets 70 percent of the population and runs from May 18 to July 3. Naver Pay linked the process to Naver Search and maps and allows benefits to be received as Npay points, money or a prepaid money card. Kakao Pay enables applications via KakaoTalk and supports multiple payment methods. Both are running applicant events.

Naver Pay runs Lunar New Year overseas payment, travel insurance promotions
Naver Pay said on Thursday it will run promotions offering benefits to users traveling overseas during the Lunar New Year holiday. The company extended a promotion that returns 10 percent of eligible overseas payment spending as points through June, with a higher cap for users of its overseas travel insurance comparison service. It is also running multiple overseas QR payment events through March, including random point rewards, a lucky draw, roaming discounts for KT users and instant discounts at certain partner merchants.

Naver Pay sees more high point earners last year
Naver Pay said about 30 million users received point benefits in 2025, with 17.31 million gaining at least 10,000 won. It said 9.56 million users earned 50,000 won or more in points and 6.36 million earned at least 100,000 won, up 12 percent and 20 percent from a year earlier. External merchant use and overseas payments increased, and point benefits via financial services also rose.
