Naver Pay (Npay) said on Thursday it will run a promotion offering various benefits to users traveling overseas during the Lunar New Year holiday.

First, the "Overseas Travel 10 percent Payback" promotion, which returns 10 percent of spending paid via Npay Overseas QR and the "Npay Money Card" as points, will be extended through June.

Users who apply for payback on the Overseas Travel 10 percent Payback promotion page will receive points worth 10 percent of their total spending on Npay's overseas payment services during the promotion period, up to 10,000 won. The benefit cap increases to up to 20,000 won when using Npay's overseas travel insurance comparison service.

Npay is also running various promotions linked to its overseas QR payment service. A lucky pouch promotion offering random point rewards by user will run through March 10.

A "Lucky Draw" promotion that lets users earn entries through overseas QR payments or quiz participation, enabling point rewards and entries for overseas flight tickets, will continue through March 4.

For users whose mobile carrier is KT, Npay will offer a 10,000 won discount on roaming charges and 10,000 won in points after applying for the event, subscribing to a roaming plan and making overseas QR payments of 20,000 won or more. Npay will also offer instant discounts for QR payments at Alipay+ and PayPay merchants, including airports, drugstores and shopping malls in mainland China and Japan.
