OpenAI hints at overhaul of ChatGPT pricing, may drop unlimited subscriptions and add pay-as-you-go
OpenAI has signalled it may significantly change ChatGPT’s pricing structure, raising the possibility that unlimited subscriptions could disappear. Nick Turley, who leads ChatGPT, said on a podcast that pricing systems do not stay unchanged when technology shifts quickly. He described subscriptions as an accidental, temporary response to capacity constraints. ChatGPT currently offers a free tier, a $20-a-month Plus plan and a $200-a-month Pro plan.
