OpenAI prepares inference residency in South Korea, in talks with local partners to secure GPUs
OpenAI is preparing to introduce “inference residency” in South Korea so Korean users’ AI inference computing is handled at domestic data centres. OpenAI Korea chief Kim Kyung-hoon said the company is discussing securing GPUs and cloud infrastructure with several local partners and expects to offer the service in the near term. OpenAI already supports data residency in Korea, but some data can move overseas during inference.

OpenAI to supply ChatGPT Enterprise to all Samsung Electronics employees
OpenAI will supply ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex to support work innovation and companywide AI transformation at Samsung Electronics, it said on Sunday. The rollout covers all Samsung employees in South Korea and all employees worldwide in its Device eXperience (DX) division. Samsung plans to use the tools across software development, marketing, product development and manufacturing. OpenAI said more than 5 million people use Codex weekly and its weekly active users in South Korea have surged since Feb. 1, 2026.

NH Investment & Securities steps up tie-in services with Quotalab for stock compensation schemes
NH Investment & Securities said on March 13 it will strengthen services linking its N2 stock compensation scheme with Quotalab, as companies use such programmes to secure talent and reward employee contributions. It expects employee stock compensation to expand quickly following a Commercial Act revision that took effect on March 6. The brokerage said it has provided about 1.3 billion won in services to around 4,500 employees, including at Nexen Tire and Krafton.
