Infineon aims to reshape automotive chip ecosystem with RISC-V
Infineon Technologies is restructuring its automotive microcontroller business around a RISC-V-based MCU lineup, moving away from ARM-based designs. The company said adopting an open standard instruction set will strengthen OEM-led development and reduce supply-chain dependence risks. It unveiled a new AURIX RISC-V roadmap in Seoul, spanning entry-level to high-performance applications, alongside existing AURIX TC, TRAVEO and PSOC portfolios.
