Vitamin C cure-all? Research results are unconvincing
Vitamin C is often touted as helping prevent colds and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer, but scientific evidence is not sufficient, an online report said. Neil White (닐 휘트) of Macquarie University said vitamin C supports immune function and wound healing and is essential for collagen synthesis. Studies found no reduction in cold incidence, unclear heart benefits and no proven cancer prevention. Adults are advised 100 mg daily, with a 2,000 mg upper limit.
