Sh Suhyup Bank appoints Kim Yoon-ho as CEO of Sh Suhyup Asset Management
Sh Suhyup Bank said on April 13 it appointed Kim Yoon-ho, a former vice president at Hana Alternative Investment Management, as the new chief executive of its subsidiary Sh Suhyup Asset Management. The bank described the move as aimed at pushing a shift into a comprehensive asset manager spanning traditional assets and real estate alternative investments. It plans to strengthen expertise and expand synergies with the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives.

Second phase of public agency relocations raises tension in South Korea\'s financial sector
South Korea is stepping up discussions on a second phase of relocating public agencies out of the Seoul area, raising the possibility that major financial institutions, including policy lenders, could be moved. The government is considering selecting targets through a full survey and pursuing phased relocations from as early as 2027. The financial sector is watching whether Korea Development Bank is included. The finance union is calling for the plan to be halted and has launched a joint task force.

Sh Suhyup Bank posts 312.9 billion won 2025 net profit
Sh Suhyup Bank held its first 2026 management strategy meeting in Gangneung from Jan. 15 to 16 and announced preliminary 2025 results. Total assets rose 5.6 trillion won to 63.4 trillion won, and net profit before tax increased 11.9 billion won to 312.9 billion won. The bank said it expanded assets centered on sound loans and focused on proactive loan management. CEO Shin Hak-ki urged staff to concentrate on meeting this year’s goals.
