Aave deploys V3 lending protocol and launches GHO stablecoin on Monad
Aave has deployed its V3 lending protocol on Monad and begun supporting 12 assets, including the GHO stablecoin. The Monad Foundation plans to provide $15 million in incentives during the first 12 months after service activation. The deployment applies Chainlink Smart Value Recapture from the start, returning part of value generated during liquidations to the protocol. The Monad Foundation will buy 10 million GHO and hold it for at least six months.

Andreessen Horowitz opens Seoul office to support portfolio companies\' expansion into Korea
Silicon Valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) has officially opened an office in Seoul to support its portfolio companies\' entry into the Korean and broader Asian markets. The firm, which manages about $100 billion in assets, said it will use its global network to support market expansion and growth. The Seoul office will initially focus on crypto, with plans to widen its activities over time.

Monad hires executives from FalconX, BVNK and Optimism to speed Layer 1 scaling
Monad Foundation has hired three senior executives from Optimism, FalconX and BVNK to accelerate the scaling of its Layer 1 blockchain, Cointelegraph reported. Urvit Goel joined as vice president of market strategy, Joannita Titan as head of institutional growth and Sagar Sarvai as head of Asia-Pacific. Cointelegraph said they have experience at JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank, Anchorage Digital, Fireblocks and Amazon. Monad launched its mainnet in November and sold tokens via Coinbase.
