Samsung SDS launched an NPU-as-a-service offering on its Samsung Cloud Platform based on FuriosaAI’s second-generation chip. Rebellions is also partnering with KT Cloud and Gabia. Samsung Electronics considers hundreds of millions of euros investment in France\'s Mistral AI
Samsung Electronics is discussing a plan to invest hundreds of millions of euros in French AI startup Mistral AI, the Financial Times reported on July 22, citing sources. The report said the investment would be part of a new funding round in which Mistral is seeking a valuation of about 20 billion euros. The FT said Samsung could invest about 1 billion euros. Sweden-based investor EQT\'s Scaleup Europe Fund is also discussing participation.

Mistral AI teams up with Microsoft to expand Azure infrastructure in Europe
Mistral AI has signed a contract worth several billion dollars with Microsoft to expand computing infrastructure in Europe. Under the deal, Microsoft Azure customers will soon be able to develop software using Mistral AI’s data centre in France. Microsoft secured additional data centre capacity for European AI customers, while Mistral Medium 3.5 and OCR 4 were added to the Azure Foundry model catalogue for use in managed Azure environments.
