Apple to expand App Store ads from March, drawing developer backlash
Apple will significantly expand advertising in App Store search results from March, Engadget reported on Thursday. Apple said 65 percent of App Store downloads are made through search and that additional search ads will give advertisers more opportunities to drive downloads. Ads, previously shown only at the top of search results, are expected to also appear at the bottom. Some developers criticised the policy, Engadget reported.
