ITCEN Entec selected as preferred bidder for 217.3 billion won K-Edufine upgrade project
ITCEN Entec said on Tuesday it was selected as the preferred bidder for a 217.3 billion won project ordered by the Korea Education and Research Information Service to upgrade the operating environment of K-Edufine and build a disaster recovery system. The three-year project for 2026-2028 includes an MSA-based cloud migration, construction of an integrated DR centre, adoption of a zero-trust security system and modernisation of application services.

Lee Kyung-jong (이경종), head of KB Kookmin Bank and KB Financial Group’s Financial AI2 Center, said AI competitiveness comes from trusted data that agents can act on, not from models. He said most corporate AI still functions as search, requiring staff to verify and enter results. KB is building an environment for “acting AI” by reshaping data around meaning and using an on-demand connection structure on Snowflake, while expanding agent development across front-, mid- and back-office work.

ITCEN Group highlights enterprise AI full-stack strategy at Smart Tech Korea 2026
ITCEN Group will take part in the Smart Tech Korea 2026 exhibition at Seoul\'s COEX from June 10 to 12 to introduce AI governance and infrastructure architecture. The group will raise questions about controlling indiscriminate adoption of agents and surging costs. It will present technologies to curb resource waste and control data leakage risks, and highlight securing infrastructure sovereignty without dependence on specific global vendors.
