Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door Coupe has stepped up the charging-speed race by touting what it says is the fastest EV charging time in the U.S. market. The car can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in 11 minutes when using a 600-kW DC fast charger. The figure assumes ultra-high-output charging infrastructure, which remains limited for most U.S. consumers, raising attention to the gap with real-world use.
