Rockwell Automation said on Wednesday it will support the expansion of electric vehicle maker Lucid's production facility in Saudi Arabia. Lucid will introduce Rockwell Automation's FactoryTalk MES to manage production operations.
The platform provides real-time visibility, traceability and control functions. It will cover all major shops, including general assembly, paint, press, body and powertrain.
Rockwell Automation will also provide local training programmes. Through instructor-led and online training, it will deliver EV manufacturing expertise to Saudi talent. It is a step to contribute to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Ahmad Haidar (아마드 하이다르), head of Rockwell Automation's Saudi Arabia branch, said Lucid's adoption of FactoryTalk MES was a strategic decision to create measurable outcomes in operational efficiency, quality and scalability. He said the software would support Lucid in meeting its ambitious production goals while ensuring seamless links to the global supply chain and compliance with local standards.
Faisal Sultan (파이살 술탄), Lucid's Middle East president, said Rockwell Automation was a trusted partner throughout Lucid's journey, from its Arizona plant to its Saudi Arabia expansion. He said Rockwell Automation's software solutions and local expertise would help expand production scale while maintaining the highest level of quality and innovation that customers expect.
