MSIT to hold challenge to turn residents\' ideas into R&D for local issues
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT will hold a \"Local Issue Solution Challenge\" to develop residents\' proposals into science and technology-based solutions. The program will run around 17 nationwide R&D support groups. Six tasks will be selected through public presentations and evaluation, with total prize money of 31,000,000 won and ministerial awards. The ministry plans follow-up R&D and demonstrations from 2027 and will also run an expert challenge to apply existing R&D results locally.
