Hana Financial expands Hana Money platform to broaden everyday finance services
Hana Financial Group said three companies, including Hana Insurance, Finc and GLN International, have newly joined its flagship everyday finance platform Hana Money. With the additions, the app expands beyond point accumulation and Travelog free currency exchange to offer services such as currency exchange, payments, investment, insurance and asset management. The group expects stronger service links and synergy as participating affiliates rise to nine.

Hanpass seeks first overseas remittances IPO amid Middle East uncertainty
Hanpass, a mobile overseas remittance platform targeting foreigners living in South Korea, is pursuing a KOSDAQ listing after winning preliminary review approval from the Korea Exchange. It plans to use IPO proceeds for overseas expansion, service upgrades and new products, including an app for visitors and a loan comparison service. Revenue rose to 55.3 billion won in 2024, though it said accounting changes boosted the figure. It also outlined planned investments in Japan and Australia.

Naver Pay launches Loan Interest Rate Care service
Naver Pay (Npay) on Wednesday launched its Loan Interest Rate Care service, which automatically acts on users’ behalf to exercise their right to request lower loan rates. Based on mydata, the service detects personal financial improvements such as changes in assets or credit scores and submits applications to lenders. Users apply once and receive monthly results via Naver app alerts. If rates do not fall, it provides guidance to improve approval chances.
