Naver Webtoon to add flat-rate anime subscription service to Line Manga
Naver Webtoon said on Tuesday it will introduce a flat-rate anime streaming service, d Anime Store for Line Manga, to its Japanese-language service Line Manga in collaboration with Japanese mobile carrier NTT Docomo. The service will be offered through a new Anime tab within the Line Manga app, allowing users to view original comics and watch anime. Line Manga will initially provide more than 4,000 anime titles and plans to expand the catalogue.

Naver Webtoon launches AI chatbot Character Chat on Japan\'s Line Manga
Naver Webtoon is rolling out a Japanese-language version of its AI-based chat service, Character Chat, on Japan\'s Line Manga, where it is offered under the name Kyara Chato. The service provides chatbots that can hold natural conversations using analysed data on characters\' personalities, speech patterns and work information. As of January, Character Chat had about 6 million cumulative visitors and more than 230 million messages exchanged.

Naver Webtoon \'Fight Class\' to stream globally as Netflix Japanese series
Naver Webtoon said on Tuesday its original webtoon \'Fight Class\' will be produced as a Netflix Japanese series and released worldwide exclusively on May 28. Created by writers Park Tae-joon and Kim Jung-hyun, the series has reached 2.28 billion cumulative global views. It has been serialized in Japan on Line Manga since 2020, surpassing 500 million local views and earning recognition at Japan’s 25th Agency for Cultural Affairs Media Arts Festival.
