AWS launches Lambda microVM, supports running isolated containers for up to 8 hours
AWS has added microVM capability to its serverless platform Lambda, based on its lightweight virtual machine technology Firecracker. The feature extends Lambda\'s execution limit from 15 minutes to up to 8 hours and lets developers upload Dockerfiles and application files to Amazon S3 for conversion into Firecracker snapshots. AWS said the feature can support isolated code execution for security checks and AI safety use cases, with usage-based per-second pricing.

AWS Transform upgrade adds autonomous detection and resolution of code technical debt
Amazon Web Services (AWS) said on Tuesday it has previewed a new AWS Transform feature called “continuous modernization” that analyzes and resolves technical debt across large-scale code repositories. The company said AWS Transform helps enterprises handle repetitive software maintenance tasks, including modernization of mainframe and Windows applications, Java version upgrades, replacing end-of-support frameworks and updating AWS Lambda runtimes before end of support. The new feature provides prioritized findings and pull requests, and works with AWS Security Agent.

Nvidia makes first delivery of Vera CPU for AI agents, including SpaceX and OpenAI
Nvidia has supplied initial volumes of its first in-house CPU for AI agents, called Vera, to SpaceX. BeInCrypto reported Nvidia also delivered early Vera silicon directly to OpenAI, Anthropic and Oracle Cloud. The company described Vera as its first processor marking an expansion of its GPU-led AI infrastructure business into CPUs. Vera includes 88 Olympus cores and supports up to 1.2 TB/s memory bandwidth, Nvidia said.
