Korea telecom regulator improves mobile service cancellation procedures, allows chat and app requests
South Korea\'s Broadcast Media Communications Commission on Thursday announced measures to improve mobile service cancellation procedures, including allowing cancellations via agent chat and adding cancellation request functions to mobile apps. The plan also includes allowing cancellation before paying overdue bills, improving website menu access, standardising guidance for cancellation procedures and billing statement details, and providing text files of recorded cancellation consultations upon request. Carriers plan implementation within the third quarter.

LGU+ switches in-house network to Wi-Fi 7 to strengthen smart office
LGU+ has switched its in-house wireless network to the next-generation Wi-Fi 7 standard and overhauled its authentication method and network structure. The company said it built a single companywide network environment to improve employee productivity and mobility, allowing work to continue without slowdowns or disconnections even in crowded offices. It introduced certificate-based automatic access, built a separate network for visitors and moved to a single IP system across offices.

LGU+ holds disability awareness concert for employees for Day of Persons with Disabilities
LGU+ held a disability awareness programme for employees to mark the Day of Persons with Disabilities. The company and LG Electronics hosted an accessibility and disability awareness lunch concert on April 17 at LG Sciencepark in Magok, Seoul, with about 300 employees attending. The event featured a performance by a chamber orchestra made up of musicians with developmental disabilities, a lecture and hands-on demonstrations of accessibility technologies and assistive devices.
