SOOP to air LCK Cup on major TV channels including Genie TV, Btv
SOOP said on Jan. 13 it will provide official broadcasts of key LCK Cup matches through cable TV, IPTV and smart TVs. It said viewers can watch clearer team-fight scenes on larger screens and check in-game UI details such as item and rune selections at a glance. SOOPTV will be available on platforms including Genie TV, Btv, LG U+, D\'Live, LG HelloVision and Seokyung Broadcasting, and via smart TV apps. It will also run an LCK analysis programme, starting Jan. 14.

Woori Bank extends main partnership with LCK
Woori Bank said it has extended its main partnership contract with Riot Games for League of Legends Champions Korea, the country’s professional League of Legends league. Executives from both sides attended a signing ceremony in Seoul and agreed to continue the partnership that has run since 2019. The bank cited past initiatives including running a high school League of Legends league and sponsoring South Korea’s national esports team at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games. It plans further fan events this year.

LCK leaves YouTube, SOOP and Chzzk set for lock-in battle
South Korea’s e-sports streaming market is heading into a new rivalry ahead of the Jan. 14 opening of the 2026 LCK Cup, after YouTube drops out of LCK broadcasts. Riot Games Korea signed exclusive five-year deals through 2030 with Naver’s Chzzk and SOOP, making them the only platforms for Korean-language live streams. Both are rolling out opposing strategies to maximise lock-in through linked content, replay features, AI tools, global league coverage and offline branding.
