Younglimwon Softlab wraps up ERP-linked web and app development hackathon, 10 teams win awards
Younglimwon Softlab said on July 9 it concluded the 2026 K-Hackathon for Global held via the Korean Society of Computer Information and selected outstanding projects for awards. The practical competition used its enterprise information system web and app development platform Flextudio to build systems linked with ERP. A total of 91 students from a university in Kyrgyzstan and 22 universities in South Korea took part, with 22 teams advancing to final presentations.

Changpeng Zhao urges 24-hour trading for tokenised stocks, calls on governments to issue stablecoins
Changpeng Zhao (창펑 자오), founder of Binance, urged governments to move stock markets and currencies onto blockchain networks. He said tokenising shares and issuing stablecoins linked to domestic currencies could reshape the financial system as traditional finance moves on-chain. Zhao said tokenised stocks could allow 24-hour trading, fractional investment and faster settlement. He also argued domestic-currency stablecoins could help preserve monetary sovereignty as digital payments expand.

Kyrgyzstan is moving to build a Central Asian digital asset hub, backed by two state-level stablecoins and a large gold storage facility. A local fintech consultant said a dollar-pegged token is backed by physical gold bought by the finance ministry and stored in a new national vault, with the ministry holding all tokens. A second stablecoin is based on the som and launched on BNB Smart Chain with Binance.
