Health data transmitter scope expanded to 337 general hospitals
South Korea\'s Personal Information Protection Commission said on March 18 it will issue a revised notice expanding the scope of health and medical sector data transmitters. The revision adds 337 general hospitals under Article 3-3 of the Medical Service Act to the existing 50 institutions, bringing the total to 387. The commission plans a phased rollout starting with general hospitals connected to the Health Information Highway system.
