YMTC parent CCSH prepares for Shanghai IPO after CXMT debut
CCSH, the parent of Chinese NAND flash leader Yangtze Memory Technologies Co (YMTC), is pushing ahead with a Shanghai listing, drawing attention to whether it could rewrite China’s memory chip IPO records. CCSH plans to offer 1.98 billion to 2.43 billion shares, or 10 to 12 percent of its capital after a capital increase, with a 15 percent overallotment option. It earmarked 33 billion yuan for projects, including production upgrades and R&D.

Nvidia open-sources cuFile API as GPUs read directly from storage
Nvidia has released its cuFile API, which directly connects GPUs and storage, as open source. Nvidia also announced an industry collaboration group called Storage-Next at the Future of Memory and Storage conference. The company said cuFile transfers storage data directly to GPU memory without passing through the CPU and system memory, enabling secure access in milliseconds. Nvidia said cuFile could help speed retrieval-augmented generation and agentic AI workloads.

Kioxia ordered to pay $229 million in U.S. patent case after five-year dispute
Kioxia Holdings said its subsidiaries Kioxia and Kioxia America were ordered by a U.S. federal court in Texas to pay about $229 million in damages in a patent infringement lawsuit brought by satellite communications company Viasat. The ruling confirms a jury verdict. Kioxia Holdings said it cannot accept the claims and the ruling and will consider all legal options, including an appeal. It said the decision will not affect products and services for customers and that it has already booked a litigation provision.
