KAIST, Nvidia to set up physical AI technology centre to develop human motion model

KAIST and Nvidia will develop a human motion foundation model that learns human movement and physical intelligence for use in controlling wearable robots and humanoids. KAIST said on Saturday it will establish the Nvidia AI Technology Center for joint research in physical AI. The partners will set up a Human Physical Intelligence Technology Center at KAIST’s mechanical engineering department and run research, education and a student ambassador programme.

Hana Financial Group Sharing Foundation held the 18th Hana Multicultural Family Awards ceremony on July 22 at Hana Financial Group’s Myeong-dong building in central Seoul, it said on July 23. The awards, launched in 2009, recognise exemplary marriage migrants and those supporting multicultural families. The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family officially sponsors the event. Vietnam-born marriage migrant Park Ji-hye won the grand prize, the minister’s award.

Korea Internet Newspaper Association announces 2026 Internet Newspaper Awards; DailyPharm, DigitalToday win

The Korea Internet Newspaper Association on Monday announced the winners of its 2026 Internet Newspaper Awards. Marking the awards’ 10th year, a judging panel chaired by Hanyang University professor Dong-seop Han selected three media winners, 16 reporting winners and two special jury prizes after a three-week review. DailyPharm won the top media prize, while DigitalToday received a media innovation award. The Fact reporter Yun-ho Nam won the top reporting prize.
