Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang (젠슨 황), who is visiting South Korea this week, will meet NCSoft chief Kim Taek-jin (김택진).

The industry said on Monday that Huang will meet Kim in Seoul on June 7. The specific agenda has not been disclosed, but cooperation in games and AI is expected to be discussed.

Their ties date back to 2008. In November that year, NCSoft signed a marketing partnership with Nvidia to coincide with the open beta test of its flagship title Aion and launched an "Aion graphics card". Cooperation has continued in recent years. During Huang's visit to South Korea in October last year, NCSoft showcased and ran demo events for its new titles Aion2 and Cinder City at the "Nvidia GeForce Gamer Festival" held at Seoul's COEX. It also operated a booth in partnership with Nvidia at G-Star 2025 in November that year.

Attention is focused on the possibility that the meeting could expand physical AI cooperation beyond games. NC AI, NCSoft's AI subsidiary, formed a consortium with Hyundai Rotem last month and was selected as the final project operator for a state-backed project for a physical AI-based robot system ordered by the Agency for Defense Development (ADD). In the project, NC AI will oversee development of a "world model" that enables robots to learn physical laws and environmental changes. It is also jointly developing physical AI-based robot intelligence technology with POSCO DX.

Nvidia is also fostering physical AI as a core business. That has led to expectations that overlaps between the two companies could expand in the field, as both have built virtual world implementation and simulation technology across games and AI.

Huang will arrive in South Korea on the evening of June 4. On June 5, he is scheduled to hold separate meetings with major local group leaders including SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin. His meeting with Kim has been arranged as a separate schedule.
