Korea Space Agency selects four active administration cases
Korea Space Agency selected 4 cases as part of its 2026 active administration best and challenge examples and held an awards ceremony on Oct. 26. Thirteen cases were submitted. After committee review, staff voting and a final evaluation with presentations and Q&A, it chose 1 top award, 2 excellence awards and 1 challenge example. The top case enabled space operators to use guarantee and mutual-aid services without forming a separate association.

KB Kookmin Bank consortium picked as preferred bidder for Jeonbuk offshore wind project
A consortium involving KB Kookmin Bank has been selected as the preferred bidder for the Jeonbuk southwest offshore wind public project in South Korea. The project will first develop 800 MW of a planned 2.5 GW offshore wind complex in waters off Buan, North Jeolla Province, under a public-led model in which public institutions hold at least 50 percent. KB Kookmin plans to provide financial advisory services and arrange project financing.

Hancom InnoStream completes generative AI boiler integrated management system for KEPCO KPS
Hancom InnoStream, an AI e-document and data solutions unit of Hancom, said on Jan. 26 it has completed building a Boiler Intelligent Management System for KEPCO KPS to strengthen power plant boiler maintenance efficiency. Hancom InnoStream said it led the project from planning and design to implementing AI technology. The system standardises large volumes of maintenance data and combines generative AI and analytics, including Text-to-SQL, to lower barriers to data access.
