Hancom InnoStream, an AI e-document and data solutions subsidiary of Hancom, said on Jan. 26 it has completed building a Boiler Intelligent Management System (BIMS) that strengthens KEPCO KPS' efficiency in maintaining power plant boilers.

The project had Hancom InnoStream participating as the main contractor and completing the full process with KEPCO KPS, from system planning and design to implementing AI technology.

The two companies focused on standardising vast volumes of power plant maintenance data and combining it with generative AI and intelligent analytics to deliver an “intelligent solution” that allows on-site workers to make immediate decisions.

It also emphasised that it applied Text-to-SQL technology, which automatically converts a user’s natural-language question into database query language (SQL) and finds results, lowering barriers to data access.

Choi Sung (최성), chief executive of Hancom InnoStream, said, “This BIMS build is meaningful in that AI technology has gone beyond simple task support and transformed complex on-site data into insights that anyone can use.” He added, “We will continue to combine generative AI, data visualisation and automation technologies to supply AI that works in practice across various industries and support customers’ digital transformation.”
