South Korea\'s KOSPI extended early gains above the 6,600 level on Tuesday, triggering a buy sidecar in the main market for the first time in three trading sessions since July 31. The Korea Exchange activated the mechanism at 9:24:56 a.m., temporarily suspending the effectiveness of program buy orders for five minutes after KOSPI200 futures rose more than 5 percent above the benchmark price for over one minute.
